WATCH THE LIVE RECORDING
FILMED ON SATURDAY MARCH 20
Made possible through the City of Edmonton and the Heart + Soul Fund by EPCOR, the Quarters Arts Society (QAS) Annual Spring Equinox Light Sculpture Exhibit– GLOW – is a go for one night only. Centred within QAS’s new community arts space, CO*LAB (9641 102A Avenue), the outdoor exhibit opens March 20 from 7 to 11 PM MT.
The Winter Birds Exhibit celebrates the brave birds that winter with us and sing Edmonton’s praises all year long. Three 15 by 7 foot inflatable chickadees will perch atop the CO*LAB building and within its community courtyard, along with lanterns and light sculptures from past exhibits accented with hypnotic light projections.
The OUTDOOR, physically-distanced celebration includes access to CO*LAB’s community courtyard to watch live streamed performances (filmed within CO*LAB), and to enjoy a fire pit and hot beverages from On the Edge Coffee, all while surrounded by GLOWing lanterns.
Live performances will also stream on our website, so you can take part in the celebration from home!
This is a donate-what-you-can celebration. For a limited time, a donation to Quarter Arts Society automatically grants you an annual membership, giving you first-access to CO*LAB programs and events, AGM voting rights, discount rental rates, and more! The suggested price for a membership is $20 and is available on a sliding scale (no one will be turned away from obtaining a membership).
We have reached capacity for in-person guests and invite you to tuned in via live stream, starting at 7pm at https://colabyeg.ca/.
